Madeleines dipped in tea or Florentines in coffee, i.e. my Sunday dillemas with porcelain in the background

Niedzielny poranek to nie czas na długie blogowe wywody. To czas na leżenie w łóżku, picie kawy, oglądanie lekkich programów (dziś akurat jest to „Kevin sam w domu”, więc się zastanawiam, co mi zaserwują w święta), bez spięcia, bez pośpiechu i bez poczucia winy. Czas ten jest jeszcze przyjemniejszy, gdy towarzyszy mu trochę słodyczy, w jakiejkolwiek postaci. Dziś padło na florentynki – jedna z żurawiną, druga z czekoladą. I na dodatek od Bliklego… Mmm…

A że – zgodnie z powszechnie znanym hasłem – należy podarować sobie odrobinę luksusu, kawa została zaparzona w moim ulubionym ekspresie Alessi 9090 (proj. Richard Sapper) i podana w przeracydelikatnych porcelanowych filiżankach w kształcie dzwonka. Smaczku takiemu espresso dodaje fakt, że to filiżanki z kolekcji KU, które dla Alessi zaprojektował Toyo Ito, zdobywca nagrody Pritzkera. Dostałam je kiedyś w prezencie i wciąż napatrzeć się nie mogę.

Sunday mornings are not the time for long entries. It’s rather time to stay in bed, have coffee, watch relaxing shows on TV („Home Alone” is on now, thus I’m wondering how are they going to entertain me on the Boxing Day), be calm, be easy and feel totally guilt-free. Such moments are even nicer when sweetened up by someting really good, anything. Today it’s Florentines bisquits; one with cranberries, the other – with milk chocolate, all from Blikle. Yummy…

According to the well-know motto „Spoil yourself with a bit of luxury”, the coffe has been made in my favourite Alessi 9090 coffee maker (by Richard Sapper) and then served in extremely fragile bell-shaped porcelaine cups. The pleasure was spiced up by the fact that the cups from the KU collection were designed for Alessi by Toyo Ito, a Pritzker Prize winner. I’ve been given them once and I still enjoy them a lot.

I like mornings like this 🙂

Kawa i florentynki są godną alternatywą dla Proustowskich magdalenek i herbaty. Też będą kiedyś przywodzić na myśl piękne chwile. Chwile przyjemne jak niedzielny poranek.

Coffee and Florentines are a good alternative for tea and Madeleines. Someday, they will also bring back beautiful memories. Memories easy like Sunday morning.
