London Design Festival – Watch out, here I come again!

London Design Festival – chyba największe święto designu w Europie i jedno z największych na świecie – znowu zagości na łamach FORelements. To już tradycja, że w połowie września śmigam na Wyspy, by relacjonować dla Was najważniejsze wydarzenia ze świata projektantów i sztuki, zarówno pięknej, jak i użytkowej.

London Design Festival – probably the biggest in Europe and one of the most crucial design feast in the world – will be featured by FORelements again. It’s become a kind of tradition that mid-September I’m going to England to cover for you, my dearest readers, key events in the area of design and art; art of creating either beautiful or useful projects.

London Design Festival trwa od soboty (13.09.), jednak w środę (17.09., gdy przybywam) odbędzie się wernisaż Designjunction, czyli wystawa najlepszych projektów mebli, oświetlenia i innych elementów wyposażenia domu.

London Design Festival started on Saturday the 13th but on Wednesday the 17th (or the day of my arrival) begins Designjunction, i.e. the exibition of the best design in the area of furniture, ligh fixtures and other home accessories.

Wystawcami są najbardziej uznane firmy na świecie, dzięki czemu Designjunction to artystyczno-komercyjna mieszanka, której nie można przegapić. Nigdy!

The exibitors are the most known and appreciated companies, which makes Designjunction an artistic and commercial blend you can never miss and omit.  Never!

Podobnie rzecz się ma z targami 100% Design (również start w środę), gdzie wystawcy z całego świata prezentują swoją ofertę, dzięki czemu jak na dłoni widać trendy i tendencje.

It’s a quite similar thing with 100% Design where exibitors from all over the world showcase their products. There you can clearly see trends and tendencies for upcoming seasons.

Dotyczy to nie tylko wnętrz mieszkalnych, lecz także miejsca pracy lub wypoczynku. Także tutaj prezentują się debiutanci, którzy być może w przyszłości wstrząsną posadami projektowania. Obserwujmy!

It relates not only to living spaces but also to spaces for work or relax. Moreover, this is the place for debuts; debuts which will maybe shake the world of design. Watch them!

Ponad trzysta imprez i wystaw, wydarzeń i warsztatów, spotkań i wykładów… Szaleństwo! Ale jak w każdym szaleństwie, także tutaj jest metoda. Najlepszą jest regularne zaglądanie na FORelements, ha!

Na zachętę dodam, że London Design Festival jest jednym z obserwatorów FORelements na Twitterze. Podobnie jak Marcel Wanders, którego ekspozycję także zamierzam odwiedzić. Więc te FORelementsowe relacje chyba nie są takie złe… 😉

More than 300 events: exibitions, happenings, workshops, meetings and lectures… A palooza, a spree… However, though this be madness, yet there’s method in’t – reading FORelements coverages.

To encourage you I will mention only that London Design Festival follows me on Twitter, as well as Marcel Wanders does (I will visit his showcase too). So, I think I can assume that the entries on FORelements are not so bad…
