It’s a miracle, or how to become a champion of multitasking

Łódź Design Festival za nami, jak i obszerna moja stamtąd relacja, ale to nie znaczy, że od czasu do czasu nie będę do niego wracać. Dziś mam dla Was kolejną ciekawą inicjatywę, którą poznałam właśnie dzięki tej imprezie. Jest ciekawa i dla projektantów, i dla ich klientów. Fifty-fity, pół na pół. Ale po kolei.

Jak wiemy i już nawet nie podejmujemy nierównej z tym walki, praca nad projektem mieszkania / domu / zagrody to bardzo często droga mozolna i raczej wyboista i dla jego autora, i dla inwestora. Chodzi o samą organizację i wydajność, o nadzór na kolejnych etapach, komunikację między obiema stronami, a przede wszystkim o czas. Czas i spokój, czyli smak luksusu.

Znacie tę sytuację, gdy małe żółte karteczki z notatkami oblepiają biurko i mózg, a w miejsce jednej za chwilę pojawia się kilka następnych? Gdy nagle i mimowolnie przypomina się klasyka literatury (Za)polskiej i okrzyk pana Dulskiego: „A dajcie wy mi wszyscy święty spokój!”

No i właśnie podczas łódzkiego festiwalu zaprezentowali się autorzy pomysłu, jak ten problem rozwiązać. Platforma cudo.co zorganizowała spotkanie „Buduj z nami nowy standard pracy projektanta” (opis na stronie festiwalu – TUTAJ), ale też prezentowała się na (jak sami mówią) chyba najmniejszym stoisku na całym festiwalu.

Łódź Design Festival is over and behind us, so is my extensive coverage, but it doesn’t mean I won’t look back to the event from time to time. Like today when I want to introduce you to a quite interesting idea I stumbled across at the Festival. It’s interesting both ways – for architects and interior designers, as well as for their clients. A fifty – fifty balance. But first things first.

As we know and even don’t try to fight it, working on a project of an apartment / a house / a cottage is very often strenuous and bumpy, either for the designer or for the future inhabitant. It’s about organizing things and being effective, about supervising the construction site on every stage, about communication between the two parties, but first of all – about time. Time and peace of mind, or a taste of luxury.

You know the moment when little yellow post-its are swarming all over your desk and your brain, and one is immediately replaced by few another? The moment when you want to hide away and scream „Run, Forrest, run!”?

There is a way to solve the problem though and it has been featured at the Festival in Łódź. Cudo.co – an Internet platform – gave a lecture there, titled „Create with us a new standard of designer’s work” (more on the Festival’s site – HERE). They also had their own showcase there (the smallest one in the whole event, as they say).

Stoisko może małe, ale pomysł duży. Jego opis znajduje się na stronie festiwalu (TUTAJ), ale pozwólcie, że i tak dodam coś od siebie.

Zacznijmy od zwykłego, znanego nam wszystkim dnia pracy nad projektem. W skrócie wygląda to tak:

Let’s begin with an average and familliar day while working on a project. To make a long story short it looks like that:

I jaka w tym rola cudo.co? To platforma dopasowana do charakteru pracy projektantów wnętrz i architektów (zresztą, została stworzona przez projektantkę wnętrz, która zna ten biznes od podszewki). Wszystkie informacje dotyczące projektu, grafiki, plany, dokumenty i zdjęcia są zebrane w jednym miejscu. Bez szukania plików w różnych mailach i na różnych dyskach. To efektywniejsza komunikacja, dzięki czemu praca zajmuje mniej czasu i jest mniej chaotyczna. Co więcej, dużym ułatwieniem jest to, że strona działa z poziomu komputera i urządzeń mobilnych.

Ergo: telefon w garść i działamy! Prawie jak inżynier Karwowski wespół w zespół z niezastąpionym Maliniakiem. Z tą różnicą, że towarzyszy temu względny relaks.

Platforma ma też inną zaletę: sprawia, że inwestor (a klient nasz pan, jak wiemy) ma możliwość umieszczania opinii oraz komentarzy do przedstawianych plików o każdej porze, bez zamęczania telefonami i z każdego miejsca, gdzie ma dostęp do internetu. Oczekiwane „Akceptuję” od klienta przychodzi więc szybciej, czyli znowu zyskujemy czas i spokój, że wszystko idzie zgodnie z planem. A planowanie, jak wiemy, jest kluczowe.

What cudo.co has to do with it? This is a platform strictly adjusted to the kind of work performed by interior designers and architects. (BTW: it has been established by an interior designer who knows the business inside out). All the information related to the project (images, plans, pictures and documents) is stored in one place. No more looking through e-mails, different discs and pendrives. It means better and more effective communication, less chaotic work and more spared time. Moreover, you can use it either on your laptop or on your mobile device.

Be your own Bob the Builder, control things and sleep better.

It has one more value:  it enables clients (and we know who’s the master here) put their opinions and adjustments at any time and from every place they want and have the Internet access. The awaited „Accepted” comes faster, so once again, we gain the precious time and certainty that everything goes according to the plan. Basically it is the key issue, sticking to the plan, right?

…przeglądamy, oglądamy, wymieniamy uwagi, odhaczamy wykonane zadania, kontrolujemy te niewykonane. Dla zwiększenia poczucia nadzoru można założyć kask budowlańca, oczywiście, jeśli tylko sprawi to przyjemność. Bo to ma być przyjemność.

…you look through and peruse files, discuss them, check what has been done, control what’s not. To feel more like a construction supervisor you can put a hard hat on, no problem, if it makes you happy. It should.

Poznałam Cudo.co podczas największej w Polsce imprezy poświęconej designowi. Wiecie, co to znaczy? Oczywiście o to, że design jest wszędzie, a myślenie designem to także projektowanie czasu. Bardzo na czasie.
